About you

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, and working under the direction of the Level 2 RNs, the Level 1 Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment. This position is based on the Surgical Ward at Calvary St Luke's Private Hospital including Orthopaedic, ENT and Day Ward. You will be caring predominantly for the orthopaedic and ENT including paediatric patients.

Our RNs are supported in their ongoing clinical education and provided with opportunities for career progression.

Key Responsibilities

• Function within a multidisciplinary team and provide assistance whenever required
• Function in accordance with legislation and policy relevant to practice
• Protect the rights of patients while respecting their values, customs and spiritual beliefs.

What you bring 

• AHPRA Registration with a current practising certificate.
• Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
• Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
• A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
