About Us
Calvary John James Hospital is seeking Registered Nurses to join our Intensive Care Unit in permanent full-time and part-time positions.
As an Surgical ICU Registered Nurse, you will provide safe, effective and evidence-based care within a patient-focused environment. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to support patients with complex clinical needs across our surgical and medical specialities.
These positions involve working a rotating roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts. You will be supported by an experienced team committed to clinical excellence, professional development and compassionate care.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to surgical ICU/HDU patients
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care
- Recognise and respond promptly to clinical deterioration
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team
- Maintain accurate documentation and clinical handover
What you bring
- Recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
- AHPRA Registration
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
- Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
