About the role
We are seeking an Allied Health Assistant to join our multidisciplinary allied health team. A full-time position (75 hours / fortnight). Candidates seeking a part-time position are also encouraged to apply. Calvary Adelaide provides services across a range of specialties including orthopaedic, cardiorespiratory, general medicine, general surgery, neurosurgery and neurology. The Allied Health Assistant will provide services within our on-site fast-stream inpatient rehabilitation service. As a successful candidate you will provide support across Physiotherapy, as well as other disciplines as appropriate.
Your main duties will include:
- Providing high quality evidence-based care to clients under the direction of allied health professionals
- Managing a diverse caseload of patients
- Support therapy programmes such as hydrotherapy, group exercise and functional retraining sessions.
About you
- Ability to work under supervision and direction
- Ability to work flexibly and perform a range of diverse tasks
- Willingness to learn, develop and show initiative
- Possess a Certificate in Allied Health Assistance or comparable qualification or experience working in healthcare (desired but not essential)
