As the National Aged Care Dietitian at Calvary, you will play a pivotal role in leading clinical nutrition and hydration practices across our Residential Aged Care and Home Care services, including our respite cottages and Tiwi.

- Lead and complete annual Menu and Mealtime Assessments for all Calvary residential aged care homes in line with the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Ensure food, nutrition, and hydration practices comply with legislative, accreditation, and best-practice standards.
- Provide expert advice on nutrition-related risks, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
- Lead biannual reviews and updates of Calvary’s national menus, ensuring compliance, quality, and cultural appropriateness.
- Collaborate with hospitality, clinical, and operational teams to ensure practical, nutritious, and consistently implemented menus.
- Design and deliver nutrition and hydration education programs for staff across aged care and Calvary Home Care services.
- Lead IDDSI education and implementation with Speech Pathology, and monitor trends to identify improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to audits, quality improvement initiatives, and policy development to enhance resident outcomes and dining standards.
About you
Essential
- Tertiary qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics and Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with Dietitians Australia
- Experience in aged care, healthcare, or complex care settings
- Strong knowledge of aged care quality standards, nutrition, hydration, and dining requirements
- Experience in education, training, and quality improvement initiatives
- Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel across VIC, TAS, SA, ACT, NSW & NT
- High level of integrity, IT proficiency, and the ability to learn new skills
- Current National Police Check
- Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
Desirable
- Experience working across multiple sites or at a regional/national level
- Experience with IDDSI implementation
- Understanding of residential aged care and home care regulatory frameworks
