The Hospitality Services Manager will ensure contemporary, quality and efficient output of meals and food services and ensure the daily needs of Calvary Bethlehem patients, Huntly Suites and Hyson Apartments residents are met in relation to housekeeping, cleaning and laundry services.

In relation to catering, the Hospitality Services Manager will take an innovative approach to create unique and interesting dining experiences; whilst ensuring the safety and training of hospitality team members regarding their work functions, food safety standards and workplace culture.

In relation to cleaning and laundry services, the Hospitality Services Manager will ensure adherence to all required standards and will have a proactive approach to safety ensuring full utilisation of all safety equipment and procedures provided by Calvary.
- In conjunction with the Director of Property and Shared Services, monitor the quality and effectiveness of hospitality services activity across Calvary Kooyong through the application of formal and informal audit processes; and develop business plans to support ongoing service development and budget management processes to control operational and capital expenditure.
- Tertiary qualifications in catering/hospitality and/or trade qualifications in Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (Health Competencies) with previous experience in the healthcare environment specifically relating to hospital and aged care.
- Clear thinker with excellent problem solving skills and ability to convert complex ideas into simple and determine actions to ensure quality outcomes.
- Proven ability in a leadership role with the ability to manage, coach and mentor staff
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, delegate and manage the delegation process to ensure appropriate quality outcomes are delivered in all the kitchen, cleaning and laundry areas.
- Demonstrated experience in organising hospitality service operations, including managing catering revenue and costs, providing food services, cleaning and laundry services, leading in methods of cookery and in managing catering supplies
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality reports and business case, operational planning and service development submissions and proficient in MS Office suite
