Are you a dedicated and motivated Registered Nurse or Midwife with a passion for Infection Control and Prevention? We are looking for you to work alongside our Infection Control Coordinator to ensure the highest standards of safety and hygiene across all hospital areas.
This position is Permanent Part-Time.
About the role
In this vital position, you will assist in managing the day-to-day requirements of infection prevention and control, providing expert support and advice to our hospital team. You will play a key role in maintaining safe practices, facilitating surveillance reporting, supporting audits, and promoting a culture of safety. Training will be provided to help you succeed in this rewarding role.
Your main duties will include:
- Manage daily clinical and non-clinical infection control queries
- Support infection control surveillance and reporting processes
- Assist in internal and external audits
- Understand and apply risk, quality, and safety standards to ensure safe practices in line with hospital guidelines
About you
- Current AHPRA Registered Nurse or Midwife
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with advanced problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficient in computer skills
- Commitment to completing IPC online learning modules through ACQSHC
