About the role
The Workers Compensation Performance Advisor role is responsible for coaching and mentoring Return-to-Work & Injury Management Specialists (RTW&IMS) on claim strategy, early intervention and sustainable return to work outcomes, while also conducting detailed performance analysis of claims to drive improved financial, compliance, and recovery outcomes.
This is a full-time role with hybrid work options. The role may be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra or Adelaide.
Your main duties will include:
- Using data to drive recommendations to improve portfolio performance.
- Benchmarking claim performance against industry and internal standards.
- Analysis of claim duration, cost drivers, return to work rates, and common law exposure.
- Ability to identify the causes of delayed injured worker recovery and claim escalations for improved performance.
- Working closely with insurers and other external partners to ensure continuous performance improvement.
About you
- Proven experience with complex workers compensation Workers Compensation and Injury Management.
- Strong knowledge of Workers Compensation legislation and compliance obligations.
- Demonstrated experience in coaching and development of peers and stakeholders.
- Advanced analytical capability in interpreting claims data and financial trends.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across clinical, operational, and executive teams.
- Tertiary qualification in Health, Safety, Human Resources, Allied Health, or related discipline (desirable).
