About the role
Calvary is offering a unique opportunity for a dynamic HR Professional to make a difference as part of our people team.
We need someone who will be happy to roll up their sleeves and act as an embedded partner to our managers, providing proactive guidance and expert support to navigate complex daily employee relations challenges.
As a People and Culture Case Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting managers with a wide range of HR matters, including performance management, grievances, workplace investigations, restructures and disciplinary processes. You will become the go-to expert, providing invaluable advice across a variety of employee relations issues, as well as providing coaching and support to our amazing team of people leaders and employees across Calvary Hospitals, Aged Care, and Home Care.

Your main duties will include:
- Handling employee relations, including conflict resolution, grievances, investigations, and compliance reporting.
- Independently undertaking both low level and complex case management and queries, and act as a point of escalation within the People and Culture team, with assistance from Workplace Relations.
- Interpreting, providing advice and applying employment legislation policies and procedures.
- Providing accurate and timely advice, coaching and support managers and employees across all aspects of people and culture matters, including running our Manager101 and Values Led sessions.
- Supporting the People and Culture Manager and other leaders with change initiatives, position descriptions & classification reviews, develop change and communication plans, facilitation of consultation with unions and employees whilst ensuring adherence to industrial instruments.
- Attending management and team meetings as required and share topical people and culture information, keeping abreast of and understand current challenges facing Aged Care, Home Care and Hospitals.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in performance management, project management, workforce development, and industrial/employee relations.
- Proven ability to interpret industrial instruments such as Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
- Strong analytical skills for leading workplace investigations and disciplinary processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders, whilst managing expectations and constructively managing objections to advice.
- In-depth understanding of labour laws, workplace legislation, and compliance standards.
- Experience managing diverse HR cases, complex workplace investigations and providing advice on ER matters.
