We are seeking skilled and motivated surgical nurses to join our multidisciplinary team in our Surgical Ward, which specialises in Urology, Orthopaedics, ENT, General, and Paediatric Surgery. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, and we are seeking like-minded individuals to join our ranks.
In addition to working on our busy surgical ward, there is an opportunity to support our specialised services, including the Fluoroscopic Urodynamic Studies (FUDS) and Continence and Urology Clinic. These services allow for the diagnosis and management of complex urological conditions, providing a unique learning experience for those interested in urological nursing.
We offer a range of permanent, part-time, and fixed-term contracts to suit your needs, as well as training and development opportunities to enhance your skills in FUDS and the Continence and Urology Clinic. Skills and Experience
- Current AHPRA registration and ability to work as a Registered Nurse
- Recent Acute Care experience – surgical ward nursing preferred
- Post-graduate qualification in acute care, orthopaedics, urology is highly desirable, however not essential
- Excellent customer service
- Competent computer skills
- Ability to think in an agile way
Duties
- This role is direct patient care role providing excellence in evidence based nursing care
- Development of relationships with like-minded professional people
- Active involvement in staff and patient education
